Head Coach: Elizabeth Fitzgerald

I began coaching at Nademos Synchro Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I worked with their novice section & also took on a very special assignment to train Down's Syndrome swimmer, Andrea Lazzari, who went on to compete, representing Argentina, at the DSISO World Championships.

I moved back to the UK to qualify as a Level 2 Artistic Swimming Coach and Swimming Teacher but ended up working as the Head of Development for City of Manchester Aquatics Swim Team for 5 years!

The role gave me invaluable experience of running a club, developing swimmers and an insight into the world of performance sport. It also took up all of my time and as much as I tried to love competitive swimming, it just wasn't Artistic Swimming!

As a Coach, I believe in challenging swimmers to become their best selves, to work hard and never give up. I expect swimmers to put in 100% effort and to overcome their fears to achieve their goals.

I am a Master Swimmer, Assistant Coach, Judge and Mum of a Group 3 swimmer. I originally took up Artistic Swimming as a young girl to keep me busy whilst my mum was in work and I swam for a few years at Denton Pool. I then left the sport, but the love for it never left me.

I re-joined as a Masters Swimmer when my daughter joined the club. I have now been apart of the club for a few years. I love swimming with the club and I enjoy watching the swimmers grow and develop.

I studied and practiced Law for 9 years; I am now a Sales Manager for Jaguar Land Rover.

My favourite place is Barbados and if I won the lottery I would move there. My weakness is chocolate; I could eat it until it came out of my eyes! I also love to dance, even though I am terrible; listen to music, usually very loudly, and sing, albeit very badly.

I would like to swim to ‘Fight for your Right’ by the Beastie Boys.

I’m a Masters Swimmer, Assistant Coach and Judge for the club. I have been involved in artistic swimming for 30 years.

I work full time in the white goods industry training engineers to fix kitchen appliances.

When I’m not at the pool I’m often found at a theme park as I love roller coasters. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and cat. I also like to read and bake.

I am the Club Chair, Team Manager, Assistant Coach and Judge. I am an avid artistic swimming mum, with one daughter training for GB Trials at Salford ASC and one who swims in Group 1 at Denton and recently attended her first Combo Cup competition in London.

When I was younger I wanted to be a Solicitor, instead I am currently an Employer Link Tutor at Salford Uni and a masters student studying Human Resources and Development (it’s not as boring as you think, ha!).

I am an outdoorsey, book geek, music lover, fitness freak and have a serious sweet tooth! My friends and family are my world and I am loyal to the core.

I loved swimming as a child and still do now so being around pool side I am in my element. I love learning about Artistic Swimming and hope to continue developing my knowledge of the sport further. I feel passionate about the athletes and their families, and enjoy watching them grow as a team. Seeing their dedication to training and also be able to have fun as well makes volunteering worthwhile!

If I was an Artistic Swimmer I would love to swim to Speechless from Aladdin!

I have been a part of this club for 5 years. I am an Assistant Coach, Level 1 Judge, Masters Swimmer and the sister of a group 3 swimmer who is now training for her grade 5 for Champs.

Artistic swimming is everything to me. The passion, effort and dedication that goes into it is incredible! Being a coach of such talented swimmers and being able to use my own knowledge to help them grow and develop through the sport is something I will always love doing.

I am currently going into my 2nd year of studying Psychology at Salford Uni where I hope to achieve my dream of helping people who are struggling with their mental health.

A song that I have always wanted to swim to is "Young and Beautiful" by Lana Del Rey.
